The HYGGE watch is warranted for a period 2 years from the original date of purchase. A copy of the receipt or dealer stamp in the warranty booklet is required for proof of purchase.
The case (including glass and crown), hands, dial, and watch movement are the components covered under the warranty. If the watch proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge at our discretion.
The manufacturer's warranty does not cover:
The warranties no longer apply in case a third party performed repair works or other works on the product, without prior written permission by HYGGE.
We recommend that all watches have a regular maintenance check every year.
Empty quartz watch batteries should be changed immediately in order to avoid leakages of the battery that can damage the movement to the point of irreparability. We recommend that you contact a local professional watch dealer to change your watch battery to avoid any damage.
The leather strap is much more susceptible to be damaged and premature wear from moisture than a metal band. Its life depends on condition and frequency of use. Perspiration and dust absorbed by a leather strap can cause a breakdown of the leather. We recommend wiping both sides of your strap daily with a soft dry cloth to remove collected contaminants.
As the strap touches the skins directly on the wrist, it becomes dirty easily with perspiration and dust. Do adjust your band to leave a little clearance between your wrist and the strap to avoid accumulation. For leather straps, avoid contact with water and constant moisture to prevent the deformation (and certain discoloration) of the leather. To prevent fading, keep them out of prolonged direct sunlight.
For the metal band, we recommend cleaning it with a soft brush (e.g. soft toothbrush) dipped in soapy water, then rising in fresh water and wiping in a soft cloth.
Avoid direct contact with detergents, solvents, fragrances and cosmetics, as they may damage the leather strap and metal band. Diligence in this regard will prevent premature aging of the material as well as discoloration.
Avoid impacts, shocks to the watch. Water resistance should be checked after any severe shock. Avoid direct contact with detergents, solvents, fragrances and cosmetics, as they may damage the case. Diligence in this regard will prevent premature aging of the material as well as discoloration.
For the date and time setting, please refer to the user guide included in the package of each watch.
Avoid exposure to sudden changes in temperature (e.g., exposure to heat followed by immersion in cold water) or to extreme temperatures (e.g., above 60°C / 140°F or below 0°C / 32°F).
Do not leave the watch in a place where it is subjected to strong magnetism.
When wearing your watch avoid wearing jewelry on the same wrist. Keep watches well apart from each other to prevent them from getting scratched or scraped.
In watches, water resistance cannot be constantly guaranteed. Among other factors, it may be affected by the aging of the gaskets and/or accidental shocks. Water resistance should be tested at least every year at specialized store. If the watch was subjected to a severe shock, we recommend having its resistance tested. Saunas, showers and baths should be absolutely avoided as hot water may damage the water-resistance gaskets.
Do not turn or pull out the crown when the watch is wet or immersed in water, as water may get into the case. Ensure the crown is correctly in place after time adjustment.
